FAQ’s
Service
-
My service is performed in your own home, where your dog is most comfortable. I find a lot of dogs are less anxious for their nails in their own home, eliminating the extra stress of going to the vet or groomers.
-
Expect the first appointment to be longer than our future appointments.
I spend the beginning of the appointment playing, petting, and giving treats to your dog. This builds trust, making it a positive experience.
I will find the proper fitting doggie lift harness for your dogs, sizes ranging from XS - XXL.
Ensuring they are comfortable with my doggie lift system, I then clip the harness onto the frame (see more questions about the doggie lift system below).
All of my services are preformed in this harness system. I usually give them treats during the nails and allow you to pet them, if it makes them more comfortable.
Finished! At the end of our first appointment, I will collect your payment and book the next nail care appointment for your dogs!

Yes of course! In most cases, I have found dogs prefer their parents to be petting them and giving treats during my services. In some instances, it might make them a little more anxious, in which the best course of action will be discussed in the moment.
-
Yes, with frequent appointments and using a dremel to thoroughly round off their nails, I am confident in getting your dogs nails back to a healthy length! This process will naturally make the vein in your dogs nails back up and get shorter, allowing the nail itself to also get shorter.
-
No, unfortunately I am allergic to cats, so I have never worked with them professionally. Don't worry if your household has a cat, and I'm doing your dog's nails, I will be perfectly fine as long as I do not touch your feline family member.
-
I accept all credit and debit cards, apple pay, google pay, and cash as forms of payment. I do prefer cash, if possible, as I pay the card reader fees on my end and they add up quick!
Doggie Lift
-
The doggie lift is a system specifically designed to do dog's nails with ease. It gently lifts them off the ground, securely holding them in place, while ensuring a safe and comfortable way to perform nail trimming and grinding.
-
The doggie lift is hung on a door frame, very similar to a pull up bar. The majority of the weight is distributed sideways, rather than pulling down on the door frame itself. The contact points with the door frame have foam padding, to avoid scuffing.
-
Yes! I have six sizes of harnesses, the largest one being for 121-160 lb dogs.
-
Actually, it isn't necessary for their paws to be off the ground at all. Especially for bigger dogs, I will have them in the harness (paws still on the ground), and lift them up enough to support their weight when I lift a paw up to do the nails.
My Dog
-
Being inside their own home and away from the overwhelming smells, sights, and sounds of the vet or groomers already helps alleviate their anxiety with nails.
I take my time to gain your dogs trust, especially for the first appointment, lots of treats and pets help too!
I have happy hoodies (earmuffs for dogs) that helps block out the loud dremel noises.
I have a diamond dremel bit that does not get hot, meaning the sensitive vein in their nails (the quick) will not feel the heat like from a normal sandpaper dremel bit.
-
Yes! In fact, the doggie lift system I use relieves a lot of pressure off their joints. Lifting them in the air, or being lifted up enough with their paws still on the ground, allows the harness to support their weight when I lift up a paw to do the nails. This makes doing your senior dog's nails a more comfortable experience.

Under certain circumstances. I must be notified before you book your appointment of any past aggressive behaviors, and I will advise on how we should proceed. I will not work with dogs that are inherently aggressive for other things besides nails, they would be best off in a veterinary type environment.
Dogs requiring a muzzle must have their own muzzle that they are acclimated to. I do not carry my own muzzles, as dogs will be more anxious / aggressive with a muzzle that smells like other dogs.
